Terms of Use

Last updated: [date you publish this]

DRAFT for review. This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Fill in the highlighted parts and have someone qualified review it before launch, especially before Campus Gigs or any payments go live.

These terms are an agreement between you and [your name or company] ("we") about using StudentHQ. By using StudentHQ you agree to them.

Using StudentHQ

Your content

What you put in your planner is yours. You give us permission to store and display it to you so the service works. You can delete it any time.

Grades and deadlines

StudentHQ helps you plan, but it isn't your school's official record. Grades, due dates and submission status in your school's systems, such as Canvas, always win. Double-check anything important there. StudentHQ never submits work for you.

Academic integrity

Don't use StudentHQ, or anything you find through it, to cheat. That includes paying someone to do your coursework or doing coursework for someone else. Follow your school's academic integrity rules.

Campus Gigs (not live yet)

Campus Gigs is announced but not available. Separate rules will apply when it launches, including a ban on coursework jobs. Until then, nothing on StudentHQ is an offer of work.

Reading Room and outside links

We link to free articles, talks and tools on other websites. We don't control those sites, their authors aren't affiliated with StudentHQ, and our summaries are our own.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep StudentHQ running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties. We may change or stop features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as a missed deadline, from using StudentHQ.

Ending your use

You can stop using StudentHQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users.
